knitting near the North pole
Auroraknit is the mastermind of two friends, Nicola and Cat.
After meeting in Svalbard on separate dream adventures in 2016, we both relocated to 78° North several months later. Some time passed, and after watching most of what Netflix has to offer, we decided that a new hobby was needed to help stay creative during the long periods of the Midnight Sun and Polar Night. As one project lead to another, Auroraknit was born.
We are inspired by the beautiful nature and natural wonders of Svalbard and the Arctic, and every detail is carefully thought out to complete the perfect knitted item.
Being environmentally friendly is also incredibly important to us, and all of our packaging is therefore recyclable. Our range will expand to include an increasing number of items to encourage people to use alternative products for day to day uses.
If you have any questions, or there is something you’d like us to create for you, please don’t hesitate to contact us for more details.
